Your owner’s draw is already a fixed cost below, so this target is profit above paying yourself. Every number on this page is an assumption you can edit — none of them are industry averages.
Nothing to work with yet — put your fixed costs, your miles
and your fuel in below and every number above fills in. Or
to see a finished one first.
Utilisation — how much you actually roll
Total odometer miles, not just paid ones.
Default 50 — assumes 2 weeks off. Editable.
Default 5. Drives cost per day.
Empty miles ÷ total miles. If you don’t track it, 10% is a starting guess — replace it.
Default 500. Used to estimate days on a load if you leave that blank.
Default 11, the FMCSA driving limit. Editable.
Fixed costs
—These happen whether the wheels turn or not. Monthly first, then the bills you pay once a year — those are divided by 12 and the split is shown.
Monthly
Annual — amortised ÷ 12
Variable costs
—These only happen when you roll. Fuel is entered as MPG and price per gallon because those are the two numbers you can actually change.
Fuel = — per mile. Use your all-in average pump price. IFTA settlements belong in permits & filing below.

Averages, for planning. On the Load check tab you enter the real amounts for that trip instead.
